Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building
Since its beginning in 1982, the Steel Structure Division has quickly developed into a major source of revenue and business generator for the organization. Its advancement and accomplishments within the industry are unparalleled and in only seven years after its establishment, Kawada Industries' Steel Structure Division quickly attained the number one ranking within the industry; the position it still holds today. The 62,000 tonne steel weight of the 296 m Yokohama Landmark Tower is equivalent to the weight of 21,046 automobiles.

Consistent with society's rapidly growing population, the construction industry has also witnessed building structures expand in size. To effectively meet the demands of these larger structures, higher quality steel frames are becoming necessary. Both Kawada Industries' Tochigi and Shikoku factories take great pride in knowing that they possess the nation's most advanced equipment and facilities, while Kawada Industries Toyama factory is equally proud of its lengthy history and exceptional achievements recognized industry-wide. Due to its steel-frame production line, CAD/CAM Box Line system, welding robots, and other internally developed technologies, Kawada Industries enjoys the greatest production output in Japan, and the ability to supply the world with proven and exceptionally high-quality products.

Major projects in Eastern Japan include: the Yokohama Land-Mark Tower (the tallest building in Japan), the Yurakucho Marion, the Tokyo New Metropolitan Office Building, and the Shin-Takanawa Prince Hotel. Major projects in Western Japan include: the Umeda Sky Building, the Kobe Harbor Land Center Building, and the Gold Tower. Kawada Industries has also enjoyed the opportunity to participate in a wide range of unique joint venture projects such as the Tokyo Dome Big Egg, Makuhari Messe, the Osaka Dome, the Nagoya Dome, and the Fukuoka Dome. Kawada Industry-developed computer software proved invaluable in the design and construction of both the Tokyo and Fukuoka Domes.
